                             Application for assistance
The Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund for pets was founded because Lantz believed that a pet shouldn't lose the family that loves them, simply because the family doesn't have the money for emergency vet bills. Our fund is specifically to assist with vet bills for life saving and emergency treatment, in situations in which the pet would either suffer, or relinquished to get care, or in which the pet would be in danger of being euthanized.
~At this time, assistance is limited to the Kansas City metro and surrounding areas
~Requests for assistance are triaged, with the more urgent and life threatening cases receiving assistance first
~Our fund is specifically for urgent and life threatening cases
~Our fund is solely run on donations
~Our Lantz fund is solely for the assistance of owned, family pets. We are unable to take requests for strays, rescue organizations, or foster pets

~We do not assist with routine veterinary needs like vaccines or spays and neuters.  If you need assistance with getting your pet spayed or neutered, please visit www.fixemkc.org. Fix’em KC serves the Kansas City Metropolitan area including the counties of Jackson, Clay, Platte, and Cass in Missouri, and Johnson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, and Miami in Kansas
~A positive prognosis is required for consideration of assistance

~Unfortunately, we are not able to assist with cancer treatment or chemotherapy at this time.
~Donations are only paid directly to the treating vet. At no time will donations ever be made to an individual.
~We are not able to consider requests for treatment already received.
~Grants are limited to one pet per household per annual year.
~The funds granted must be used within 2 weeks, funds do have an expiration date.
